Overnight sourdough cinnamon roll

The best Sunday morning sourdough cinnamon rolls. These are so easy and so delicious. I always just start the dough the night before and roll them out first thing in the morning. The pan is always gone by days end…. sshhhhhhh

1 stick of butter
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
⅓ cup sourdough starter discard
1 cup buttermilk 1 T of vinegar and 1c of milk if you don’t have it on hand
1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon honey
¾ teaspoon fine sea salt
1 teaspoon baking powder (hold back in initial mix)
½ teaspoon baking soda (hold back in initial mix)

The night before melt the butter add in the sourdough discard, flour, buttermilk, and salt. Mix well and let it set on the counter overnight.

The next morning roll out the dough and add flour so it doesn’t stick everywhere. Then melt butter and pour in the rolled out dough. Add brown sugar and cinnamon… I always just measure from the

Roll the cinnamon rolls and cut about 3/4 of an inch thick. Place them in a buttered pan and cook at 375 for about 30-40 min.

Let cool and put powdered sugar frosting on them. 1c powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon of butter, 1 tsp of vanilla and 1/2 of cream or milk depending on how you@like the thickness.

Serve warm or cold and they are delicious.
